This black-colored instrument is Bonang Sliring. According to Arik Sugianto, the creator behind this instrument who lives in Kedungkandang, Malang City, it is a musical instrument that consists of false tone scale that can be played randomly but harmoniously. This Bonang Sliring, which was made in 2021, may be the only one among the other Bonang instrument types in the world.

The Bonang was purchased from Arik by Anton Notnit at the Battle Ground Art Exhibition, which took place at Dewan Kesenian Malang (DKM) from April 9 to April 13, 2021. A top percussion player from Malang City, Jatmiko, had a chance to demonstrate this unique instrument. Afterward, almost a year later on March 9, 2022, this Bonang was donated by Sam Anton to the Museum Musik Indonesia (MMI).
