That's roughly one of the decisions that were made at the Conference of the International Council of Museums which took place in Prague, Chech Republic last August. The theme of the conference in Prague is The Power of Museum. Meanwhile, the theme that will be raised at the conference in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2025 is 'The Future of Museums in a Rapidly Changing Community'. The English language is 'The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities',
A high-level UAE delegation was present in Prague led by Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority. Sheikha Latifa said, “Dubai has officially started its journey to host the upcoming ICOM General Conference in 2025. This is a very historic moment for Dubai. Winning the bid to host ICOM would not have been possible without the support of the leaders and all the cultural entities in Dubai and the UAE who over the years have developed and enriched our cultural offerings as an emirate and as a nation.”
Another agreement in Prague is to update the definition of the museum, which essentially adapts the times so that the museum continues to provide important value for the development of world civilization.
