October 1 is known as the Pancasila Sanctity Day. The Indonesian Music Museum underlined that that day there was a historic event in the journey of music in this country.
In the early hours of the morning, just before dawn, four women took off from Kemayoran airport in Jakarta to AirPort Don Muang in Bangkok, Thailand. It was the first time Titiek AR, Lies AR, Susy Nander and Titik Hamzah went abroad. Their group, Dara Puspita, got a contract to perform in Ratu Sirikit's country for 3 months. An extraordinary achievement. The band was formed in Surabaya in 1964 under the name Irama Puspita.
